City of Fremont Launches eGift Card Program, Gift Fremont

Gift Fremont text, giftcard and bow

The City of Fremont, in partnership with the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and eGift Card platform Yiftee, has launched Gift Fremont, a new program that encourages the public to purchase gift cards online in support of participating Fremont-based small businesses, with an added bonus courtesy of the City of Fremont.

Gift Fremont is designed to provide a convenient way for the Fremont community to help local, small businesses weather the COVID-19 economic crisis. As an added incentive for the public’s participation in the program, the City of Fremont is contributing a $5 bonus on all purchased gift cards valued at $20 or more, and a $15 bonus on purchased gift cards valued at $40 or more.

Resident independent small businesses, including mom and pop shops, family-run restaurants, and local boutiques, can sign up for Gift Fremont on the Yiftee platform within a few minutes to create custom-branded eGift Cards, which can be sold on their company website, Facebook pages, and on the Gift Fremont eGift Card platform itself.

Yiftee is waiving monthly subscription fees through September 30, and the City of Fremont is covering the merchant eDelivery fee until the funding set aside for this program runs out, ensuring that the program is cost-free to participating small businesses throughout the coming months.

For questions about how you can support small business owners in Fremont through Gift Fremont and to inquire about participation as a small business, please email or call 510-284-4020.
